In her seminar paper, Kiley explores Austen’s heightened understanding of gender relations, to explore and explain the concepts of masculine and feminine romanticism. Through her argument and research, Kiley adequately explains how what Austen’s writing recommends, and which she does not, applies to both regency women and modern women’s expectations for partners.
